Condominiums in centrally-located Phuket town have a starting price of approximately 1.5 MB for studio rooms, and 2.5 MB for 1 bedroom properties. If you are looking for a property a little closer to the beach, then the south and west coast of the island are the most popular areas, as they contain the widest variety of options for the buyer.

On Phuket’s west coast, condominium starting prices are closer to 3.5 MB. The main beaches on the central western coast are Bangtao (including the high-end Laguna area), Layan, Surin, and Kamala. Located further south are the popular tourist beaches of Patong, Karon, Kata and Kata Noi. If looking for a private pool villa in these locations, then starting prices will often be upward of 8 MB.

In the far south of Phuket, condominium prices begin at 3 MB. Popular destinations here include Naiharn beach, Rawai beach, Nui beach and the Promthep cape area. As to the cost of private pool villas in the far south, 6.5 MB is a realistic starting price.
